For many of you, it was St. Valentine’s Day. For me, just Taco Tuesday. Or, in this case, “Taco” Tuesday. I figure this is a well-earned dinner, after a standard day in the band room, wind symphony rehearsal, and a lift.
Whatever your day was, I hope it was happy.

Macallan: high class in glass
Haribo Happy Cola: flavor en masse
Taco Bell: blowing out ass
Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing.

Mmm, pseudeomex. It was funny to see people talking about American cheese on JITB tacos, whereas I believe cheese doesn’t belong on tacos at all; meat, onions and cilantro only on a couple of soft tortillas for me, thanks. But I still get the occasional craving for Taco Hell, and those $5 boxes are too good a deal to pass up. Last week I ordered off the normal menu, and my total, sans drink, was $13. I’ll go back to the boxes from now on, but I wish they’d change them out a little more often.

I stopped at Costco on the way home from work. Cashier said “happy Valentine’s Day” to me. I’m single, I just shrugged and left. Skipped dinner.

It’s a Hallmark holiday honestly, nothing big. Despite being married for over 6 years, we both think it’s a dumb holiday and don’t celebrate it. My argument, I don’t need a special day or reason to bring home flowers or chocolate. Well, I’ll buy chocolate randomly, but I won’t bother with flowers, I think they are dumb.

I feel Demetri Martin summed up the absurdity of flowers as a gift well: “Here, watch these die slowly...you’re next.”

That’s one of my exact arguements, they are dying. I have bought plastic flowers, purely because they can’t die. My daughter does tear them apart though, lol.
